This is a hilly course
with a lot of steep ups & downs. The landing areas are narrow on many holes,
so you are forced to play target golf. Some greens are poorly designed with too
many slopes. Overall, it is a difficult course but the course design is not good.

A dogleg to the left, a difficult
hole. The tee shot should be long and accurate; otherwise, you can’t hit the green
in regulation. The second shot is sharply uphill and the green slopes a lot. |

A dogleg
to the left with a unique layout. A creek runs along the left and then crosses
the fairway 280 yards off the tee. The landing areas off the tee as well as the
second shot are relatively tight, so accurate shots are required. The creek crosses
in front of the green again. The green is slightly elevated. |

A slightly downhill par 3 over a
ravine. The entire green is surrounded by woods. I prefer this natural island
green to island greens in artificial lakes. However, it is too bad that the green
slopes too much. |
|
An
“S” shaped hole with a dogleg to the left first followed by a dogleg to the right.
The landing areas of each shot are narrow with OB on the left and hazards on the
right. Although the blind second shot is a drawback, the layout is interesting. |

|
A dogleg
to the left with the green swung further to the left, surrounding a lake. The
tee shot is sharply downhill and the landing area is squeezed by the lake on the
left and woods on the right. In fact, the woods on the right don’t come into play
unless you play against strong headwind. The second shot is over water, so a precise
carry is needed. |

It
takes 2 hours from Shenzhen by bus. The clubhouse is inside a hotel with a big
convention center. The restaurant is inside the hotel, which is luxurious.
To play from the longest gold tees, you need to show a handicap of 5 or below
to the caddie master
