AB course seen from a hill

The Club has 36 holes divided into 4 separate 9 holes, called A, B, C, & D, of the similar character. The AB course is a little easier than the CD Course. The first impression of this course was that it was not crowded at all, even on Sunday in the busy season for golfing and I could play comfortably. The course is not that challenging because of the relatively short length of the total yardage but it has an excellent atmosphere that welcomes players warmly. Likewise, the furnishings and the equipment inside the clubhouse are very nice and relaxing.

A slight uphill, dogleg to the right par 5. The fairway is narrow and the closer to the green, the narrower the fairway becomes due to the thrusting bushes on the right side. There is another bush at the back of the green.

A beautiful par 3 over the water. Various bunkers surround the green.

The second shot is up a steep hill, after the steep dynamic downhill from the tee. An OB on the right side runs from the tee to the green.

A tremendous downhill par 3, as if hitting from the fifth floor of a building. The actual distance is about 200 yards but the pond on the right side of the green comes into play.

A downhill finishing hole with both sides of the narrow fairway facing the water, so it is visually intimidating. In fact, the pond on the left is not in play because your tee shot can fly over it but if you hit the ball much from left to right, the pond on the right will catch it.

19th hole

Need to be accompanied by a member. It applies to weekdays, too. It is very rare for the golf courses in China where non-accompanied visitors cannot play. So the course is not crowded. However, the Shangri-La Hotel Hong Kong guests can play here although it takes 1 hour and half to get there.

The Shangri-la Hotel owns the club and buffet lunch at the restaurant and all food at the Chinese restaurant is very delicious, almost the same quality as in a good hotel. I stayed one night at the hotel adjacent to the club and think that this club is an excellent golf resort for longer stays because the hotel is very comfortable, equipped with a fitness center, library, kids center etc.
