Mr. Toyohiko Inui, who served as the chairman of the Japan Golf Association,
built the Ono Golf Course when he was the president of Hirono
GC. The course was designed by Osamu Ueda based on Mr. Inui's request
of "I want to make the most of the natural terrain of this scenic
spot, therefore, try to keep the bulldozer's hands as low as possible."
Inui later created and designed Higashihirono GC with the same intention.
Since various flowering trees were planted on the course since its opening,
Mr. Inui was credited for the beautiful design of the golf course as it
strongly resembles the look and feel of a park.
