This golf course is a seaside
course laid along a beach 2.5 km (1.6 miles) long. Ponds, mounds, bunkers and
lagoons are strategically placed on flat terrain, which results in a challenging
layout. It is over 7000 yards long, of which three Par 4s are less than 350 yards
and four Par 4s are longer than 450 yards. The course offers players a variety
of length, long or short. On the downside, I have to mention the poor drainage
system. As the result, the condition of the green was bad and the on of the fairway
was further worse because the glass didn’t grow on such a wet land. When I played,
it rained a little but the fairways were like the mud. Every diver shot had no
run and was buried in the fairway, which irritated me very much. It is regrettable
that the course conditions were very poor although the course itself has a great
layout. I expect a future improvement.

A
slight dogleg to the right. The tee shot is over a large bunker. A river runs
along the right side of the tight fairway. The green is small requiring an accurate
second shot. |
|
|
|
|
A dogleg to the left. It’s a demanding,
long par 5. The tee shot is over water. Pay attention to a pond on the right side
of the fairway that can’t be seen from the tee. The landing area on the second
shot is narrowed by a pond on the left. A bunker in front of the green is in play. |
|
|
A beautiful par 3 over a pond There
is the pond in front of as well as on the left side of the green but it isn’t
difficult because it is relatively short. |
|
|
A par
5 turning twice to the left. The trees on the right are OB. Trees overhang from
the left, which comes into play off the tee. Need to avoid a pond on the left
on the second shot. The green is swung to the left and its front borders the water.
The green is double-tiered. |

|
A long par 3 over water. A bunker
protecting the front of the green is in play. Mounds accentuate the rear of the
green and continue along the right. |
|
|
A dogleg to the left followed
by a slight dogleg to the right, par 5. There is a large bunker on the right of
the fairway off the tee. A pond on the right comes into play on the second shot.
The right side of the green faces the water. |
|
|
A signature hole to hit over a lagoon
toward the ocean. There is another lagoon stretching at the back of the green.
The green is sandwiched between 2 lagoons. The views from the tee as well as from
the green are spectacular. |
|
|
A long par 4 running parallel
to the long beach. The fairway is tight with mounds on the right. The green is
slightly elevated. Accuracy of the tee and on the second shot is important. You
play this hole while listening to the wave crushing. |
