A downhill par 3. The slightly elevated green is narrow and 40 yards long.
There is a big bunker on the right and a steep slope on the left, so a precise
shot is needed. |

|
A “S” shaped great par with a dogleg to the right first and then a dogleg
to the left. A very dynamic and greatly designed par 6 needs two shots across
water. A carry of 240 yards on the drive is needed to clear a lake. Actually,
it is downhill, so it is reduced to 220 yards. However, when you play against
wind, you need a huge drive to clear the water. You must use woods many
times not just of the tees but also for second and third shots. This hole
seems to be ridiculously long but it is beautiful and challenging. The second
shot is over water, too. The undulating green is wide but not deep and a
deep bunker on the front left of the green comes into play. This par 6 is
built on a vast terrain where you can make 2 long par 4s. It isn’t a monotonous
par 6, which is often seen in the other courses as it is just long and not
fun to play, but it has a very interesting layout as you are swung to the
left, then to the right, and to the left again. You will never get bored
of playing this superb hole. |

A relatively short, dogleg to the right. The tee shot is over water. When
a long hitter drive toward to the green, a lot of bunkers in front of it
will await his shot. The second shot is gently uphill. The placement of
bunkers is impressive on this hole.. |
|
|
The tee shot is over a lake to double fairways. The right fairway is 2.5
meters (8 ft.) lower than the left. You can directly aim at the green along
the right fairway, but if your second shot goes left to right, a lake bordering
the fairway might catch it. The green is elevated and if your approach shot
is short and left, there is a deep bunker and if your shot is long, there
is a hazard.

A long dogleg to the right. Fairway and greenside bunkers
come into play. Be especially careful to avoid a 2-meter (7 ft.) deep bunker
protecting the front of the green. |

A par 3 over a lake with beautiful natural scenery. A deep bunker guards
the left of the green. |

|
A straight hole for the first 650 yards with a slight dogleg
to the right for the ramaing 200 yards to the green. This very long par
6 has OB on the right and a lake on the left with double fairways, the higher
left one and the lower right one. Usually a course designer can make two
good par 4s in terrain 861 yards long, but Desmond Muirhead uniquely turns
it into a very challenging long par 6. His idea is impressive.

A straight hole. The downhill tee shot needs to be hit 250 yards to reach
the fairway. This hole is unique because the fairway itself is elevated.
The green is further swung to the right and is 3 tiered with strong undulations,
which si protected by bunkers on both sides. |
|
|
A very long par 3. The green is elevated and double tiered with strong slopes.
The hole is tight, you need to hit an accurate shot to hit onto the green;
otherwise, it is hard to save par as approach shots off the green are not
easy.

|
A slightly dogleg to the left. There are double fairways off
the tee where a cluster of rocks are positioned in the center. The left
fairway is closer but the landing area is narrower with the water on the
left. The right fairway is generous but a longer way to the green. The green
is highly elevated and guarded by deep bunkers. |

It takes 45 minutes from Pattaya by car. There is an adjacent
golf course, called Rayong
Green Valley CC under the same management and a lodge is available.
