This course offers good scenery
to players. The front 9 is flat andutilizes a large lake, the biggest in Phuket
Island, and the lake comes into play on 6 holes. The back 9 is set on a hillside
at the base of mountains with a lot of ups & downs where water comes into
on 5 holes, too. It is fun to play because the front 9 & the back 9 are different
in character and because water hazards, bunkers, and palm trees are strategically
placed. Also, the course is superbly maintained.

A
sharp dogleg to the right with a big lake along the right. As it is relatively
short par 5, it is reachable in 2 shots. However, you need to decide to hit over
the lake or lay up in front of it as the second shot is over the lake. The green
is elevated and slopes from back to front with a tilt to the right. |
A dogleg
to the right, short par 4. The fairway is narrow with a lake along the right,
so an accurate tee shot is needed. The green is double-tiered. |
A par 3 over water. It is not difficult
but pretty with a pond in front and palms trees behind. |
A slight dogleg to the left.
The fairway is narrow with an OB along the right. The second shot is demanding
as palms trees on both sides overhang its landing area. The green is elevated
and slopes from back to front with bunkers right and left. |
A straight,
demanding par 5. The tee shot is downhill and difficult because of the narrow
landing area with bunkers and an OB on the left and a creek on the right. The
second shot is over the creek but needs to be laid up when the tee shot is bad
or the head wind is strong. The third shot is uphill. Two bunkers guarding the
left side of the green are very deep and should be avoided. The green is double-tiered
with the higher left side and really a steep tilt. |

A sharp
dogleg to the right, short par 4. The fairway is wedged between creeks on both
sides, which is very unique. |
A dogleg to the left, long par
4. It is the only par 4 longer than 400 yards. An OB on the right, a creek on
the left and bunkers on both sides come into play off the tee. An OB line on the
right side of the green is close to the green, which should be paid attention
to. The green is protected by bunkers on both sides. The tee and second shots
require both distance and accuracy. The green surface has complex undulations. |
A tremendous downhill par 3. The
green is surrounded by water on three directions and is guarded by each bunker
on the front and at the rear. The green is wide and double-tiered. The right club
selection is important as you have to take into account the sharp downhill and
the wind factor. |
A par 3 over a lake. The green slopes
to right. A bunker on the right side of the green comes into play and it should
be avoided as it is 2 meters (7 ft.) deep. |
