Phuket Country Club consists of 27 holes, the 18-hole Old Course and the 9-hole New Course. The designer is the same. There are separate clubhouses and it takes about 5-minutes to get around. The Old Course is suitable for beginners & intermediate players while the New Course is for advanced players. The Old Course is a hillside course with moderate ups & downs. While the 10th & 18th Par 5s got distance with superb layouts, it is still an easy resort course. The course travels throught 3 distinct locations: 6 holes in undulating hills, 6 holes on the flat terrain and 6 holes though landscape forest.

3rd　 Par 5　493 yards
A sharp dogleg to the right. Long hitters can reach the green in 2 but need to drive left to right over trees. A creek crossing in front of the green and a large bunker protecting the front side of the green make this short par 5 more difficult.

A beautiful par 3. It is not a demanding hole. The contrast between the pond in front of the green and the tropical rainforest at the back creates picturesque atmosphere.

　
10th　 Par 5　557 yards
A signaturet hole that doglegs right. The layout is so unique that you won’t find the similar one anywhere else. It snakes around a big lake. The water come into play on the tee, second and third shots and each landing areas are tight, so you must decide how much you cut off the water. Alternatively, if you can drive precisely a carry of 240 yards, you can hit the green in 1 shot !

A beautiful par 3 with an island green. The green is deep and slopes from back to front.
 
18th　 Par 5　563 yards
A double dogleg par 5 with a slight dogleg to the right followed by a slight dogleg to the left. The landing areas of the tee and second shots are tight. The third shot is uphill and a large tree in front of the green comes into play. The green steeply slopes from right to left.

It is a 45 minutes ride from Phuket Airport. You need to be accompanied by a member or to book through travel agencies.

I have introduced only 18-hole golf courses. However this 9-hole course was too good and I include it as an exception.
